Booker scores 35 to lead the Suns to a 127 - 121 victory over Portland

Suns start the 2nd half of the season with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The win takes us to 25-11 on the season and increases our current win streak to 5 games.
Devin Booker was the high man with 35 points, the 100th 30-point game of his career. So much for an injured knee! Even CP3 enjoyed the scoring outburst commenting, "He's different. Like for real, for real. He's different", after admitting he wasn't sure if Booker would be ready to play.
The game was close throughout, however Phoenix allowed Portland to go ahead by double digits multiple times throughout the game, including the 3rd quarter where the Suns fought back from 10 points down, to end the quarter only down by 4.
The Suns had an incredible 4th quarter, locking in on the defensive end to only allow Portland to shoot 8 of 21 for the period. Phoenix on the other hand were brilliant, shooting 12 of 19 for the quarter, for 37 points.
In fact the Suns were great all game, shooting 59% overall and 54% from 3. Booker was incredibly efficient, which we've become accustomed to over the last month and a half, hitting 12 of his 21 shots, including 3 of 5 from downtown. 13 of his points came in the 3rd and he also added 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
And what's the reason for Book's efficiency this season, well according to our All-Star guard, "Chris Paul."
Scoring was done by committee in this one, with 7 of the 10 players that saw floor time scoring in double digits. The same can be said for rebounding, as 8 of those 10 players also grabbed at least 3 rebounds each. This gang rebounding approach was forced upon the team, as Enes Kanter had his way on the offensive board, with 6 vs Deandre Ayton who only managed 4 total rebounds for the game.
I'm not sure what's happened to DA, but he seems to have regressed and started to take a back seat in games again. This isn't going unnoticed, as for the 2nd time in 3 games, he did not see the floor at all in the 4th quarter, with Dario closing out the games instead. We are extremely lucky to have Saric, who gives us that luxury, when Ayton isn't bringing it.
This definitely adds credence to the rumours that we are looking to add another big man to the roster - we'll be keeping an eye on things over the coming days.
Chris Paul had 19 points 7 assists on the night, with Mikal Bridges adding 18 points on 8 of 10 shooting and some incredible defense on Damian Lillard. Kellan Olsen has a great clip of this.
Cameron Payne was brilliant off the bench for the 2nd game in a row. He seems to have gotten himself out of what ever slump he was in. He had 13 points shooting 4 of 5 from the filed and 3 of 3 from 3. He also added 6 assists.
Next up for the Suns is the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.
