With both Chris Paul and Devin Booker both being selected as All-Stars this year, I thought it was worth a trip down memory lane to find out which players have represented the Phoenix Suns in the most All-Star games.

The Suns have had many All-Stars over the years, too many to list in this article, so we will be looking at the players with the most. Some of these players appeared in more All-Star games than listed, as they gained the accolade while with other teams, which means you won't be seeing someone like Shaq on the list.

Honourable Mentions

As is customary in these types of articles, lets start with some honourable mentions. All of these player have appeared in 3 All-Star games for the Suns.

Dick Van Arsdale - 1969 to 1971

Charlie Scott - 1973 to 1975

Tom Chambers - 1989 to 1991

Kevin Johnson - 1990, '91 & '94. He started the game in '91

Dan Majerle - 1992, '93 & '95. He started the game in '95.

Joint 3rd with 4 Appearances each:

Connie Hawkins

Hawkins appeared in 4 straight All-Star games representing the Suns from 1970 to 1973. He started in 1970 & '71.

Hawk spent 5 seasons in Phoenix, averaging 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists & 1 steal.

Paul Westphal

Westphal appeared in 4 straight games for the Suns from 1977 to 1980, he started the games 3 years in a row from 1977-79 as well.

Westy played for the Suns for 6 seasons, appearing in their 1st trip to the NBA Finals in 1976 and averaged 20.6 points, 5.2 assists, 1.6 steals & 51.5% FG during his time in the Valley.

Once his playing days were over, Paul would go on to be the head coach for 2 All-Star games - 1993 & 1995 - while coaching the Suns.

Charles Barkley

Sir Charles was voted a starter representing the Suns from 1993-96, all 4 seasons that he was with the Suns. He started in '93, '95 & '96, but was unable to participate due injury in the 1994 game.

During his 4 seasons with the team he averaged 23.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists & 1.6 steal. He was named the NBA MVP in 1993, leading Phoenix to the franchise's 2nd NBA Finals appearance.

Shawn Marion

All 4 of Marion's career All-Star appearances came as a member of the Phoenix Suns. He played in 2003 and then 3 straight from 2005-07.

Marion was drafted by the Suns and in his 7 and a half season with the team averaged 18.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.9 steals, 1.3 blocks.

2nd with 5 Appearances:

Amar'e Stoudemire

Amar'e saw his best years while playing with the Suns and was awarded All-Star nods 2005 and 2007 to 2010. He started for the West in both 2009 (this game was in Phoenix) & 2010.

Through his 8 seasons with the Suns, Amar'e averaged 21.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.4 blocks.

Joint 1st with 6 Appearances:

Walter Davis

Davis was the Suns' main man throughout the late 70's and all through the 80's. He appeared in 4 straight All-Star games from 1978 to '81, starting in that 1981 game. He had his 5th appearance in 1984 and his final nod in 1987.

Candyman averaged 20.5 points, 4.4 assists & 3.2 rebounds over 11 seasons in Phoenix.

Steve Nash

I think most of you would have seen this one coming thanks to his longevity with the team and how long he reigned as one of the best guards in the League.

Nash had a total of 8 appearances in his career, but the 6 with Phoenix came in 2005-2008, then again in 2010 & 2012. He was voted as a started in 2006 and 2010.

Steve also won the Skills Challenge in 2005 and 2010

Throughout Nash's 2nd stint in Phoenix (8 seasons) he averaged 16.3 points, 10.9 assists on 51% FG, 43.7% 3pt FG, 91.2% FT shooting. He led the NBA in assists 5 times during that stretch. Oh and won back-to-back MVPs in '05 and '06
