First of all thank you so much for clicking your mouse or tapping your phone or tablet on to our new website and blog.

Who are we?

My name's Matt and I am a long-time Suns fan from Kent, England.

I run the @SunsFansUK Twitter and Instagram feeds (sorry that Instagram seems to get abandoned most of the time).

The story started back in 2012 when I joined Twitter. I thought it'd be fun to have a place where Suns fans from all of the UK could go to find news and chat about the team they love. There aren't that many of us and apparently back then I was the only one with a Twitter account. Following a change in my job I no longer had the time to keep retweeting Suns posts to my 10 (I know, right) followers, so I stopped using the account and changed it to a back up account.

In 2018 my job role changed again, which meant I had more time to listen to podcasts and

listening to Locked On Suns, 7 Seconds or Less and Suns Solar Panel made me want to get back in to the digital Suns Community. I therefore blew the dust off the old SunsFansUK Twitter handle and here I am flying the flag for the Suns in the UK.

What can you expect from the website?

I decided to build the site, as I have ideas and things I want to say about the Suns, which I feel will be better served in an article rather than a or multiple tweets. I also want to build on the original mission of having a hub for Suns fans based in the UK.

I will be posting bite sized news about the Suns on the site for you to quickly digest. The professionals such as ESPN, national US newspaper and the local Phoenix press like Kellan Olson, Duane Rankin, Gerald Bourguet and the team at Brightside of the Sun are way more qualified to write full pieces on the team, which is why I'm going to give you just a snapshot of what's going on over in the Valley of the Sun.

This blog is going to be where I will type opinion pieces or just random thoughts I have about not only our team and organisation, but also the whole basketball community, including the excellent UK basketball community.

Once again thank you for reading and I hope you'll be back soon.
