Week 18: 13-19 February 2023
Week Record: 1-1

Games Played and Results:
W - 120 - 109 Vs Sacramento Kings
L - 107 - 116 Vs LA Clippers
Centre of The Sun
With only two games, the All-Star break and no Sun taking part in weekend's main activities there wasn't a huge amount of on-court news.
The main news was Kevin Durant's Introductory press conference.
The team held it at centre court of the Footprint Center, in front of a bunch of season ticket holders, who gave KD a huge welcome.
Superstar Watch (Season stats):
Devin Booker - 26.6 Points, 4.5 Rebounds, 5.5 Assists, 0.9 Steal, 47.6 FG%, 35.8 3PT FG% & 2.5 Turnovers
Kevin Durant - 29.7 Points, 6.7 Rebounds, 5.3 Assists, 0.8 Steal, 1.5 Blocks, 55.9 FG%, 37.6 3PT FG% & 3.5 Turnovers
Deandre Ayton - 18.7 Points, 10.1 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 0.6 Steals, 0.7 Blocks, 59.3 FG%, 30.4 3PT FG% & 1.9 Turnovers
Chris Paul - 13.7 Points, 4.2 Rebounds, 9.1 Assists, 1.6 Steals, 42.6 FG%, 37.4 3PT FG% & 2.1 Turnovers
Scorching Suns:
For the 2nd week in a row both DA and Okogie are your Scorching Suns!
Deandre Ayton
His stats aren't quite as gaudy as last week, but his shooting percentage has remained incredible.
His stats for the week:
23.5 Points, 8.5 Rebounds, 1.0 Assists, 2.0 Steals, 1.5 Blocks & 70.0 FG%.
Josh Okogie
Josh continues his strong play, as he auditions for the the 5th starting spot once KD suits up.
His stats for the week:
21.5 Points, 5.5 Rebounds, 2.0 Assists, 1.5 Steals, 58.6 FG% & 56.3 3PT FG%.
Struggling Suns:
I found this week difficult to choose, as everyone seemed to do ok across the 2 games we had.
At a push, I'd choose Ish Wainright. He went 0-3 against the Kings, then took no shots at all against the Clippers.
Stat Line(s) of the Week:
Deandre Ayton vs Sacramento Kings
Game stat line:
29 Points, 11 Rebounds, 4 Steals, 2 Blocks & 13/17 FGs (76.5%).
Devin Booker vs Sacramento Kings
Game stat line:
32 Points, 5 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 2 Steals, 13/20 FGs (65.0%) & 0 3PT FGs Attempted!.
Chris Paul vs Sacramento Kings
Game stat line:
17 Points, 5 Rebounds, 19 Assist, 2 Steals & 7/15 FGs (46.7%).
Honourable mentions:
Josh Okogie vs LA Clippers
Okogie's 3-pointers attempted and made were both career highs.
Game stat line:
24 Points, 5 Rebounds, 1 Assists, 3 Steals, 9/16 FGs (56.3%) & 6/12 3PT FGs (50.0%).
Upcoming Games:
We have 2 games this week, the first at home and the second starts a 4-game road trip.

We could see Durant make his debut this week!
It'd be a great story for him to make his return against the team that drafted him and then play the team the eliminated him and his big toe from the Playoffs.
Both games will be out first meetings of the season vs these two teams.
The Thunder are on the up this season and Gilgeous-Alexander got the All-Star selection he probably should have had last year. OKC have been hovering around .500 all season and currently sit 10th in the West.
The Bucks are on a 10-game win streak in their race with Boston for the 1 seed in the East. Giannis has been a beast all season as usual, but did pick up a wrist injury at the beginning of the All-Star game, which may cause him to miss a game or two (I'm hoping two 😜).
The great news about the Bucks game is that it is at the super UK friendly time of 6pm on Sunday!
Predictions:
As above I'm going to hope Giannis misses our game and we pick up 2 wins this week.
Predictions League:
This week's table include the 2 games from last week, plus the All-Star Weekend bonus round.

Any Other Business:
Ross Debuts
Ross saw his first action in a Suns uniform against the Clippers. He looked fairly comfortable in the offense and a ton of shots (17), scoring 16 points, along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Lee in the G-League Showcase
The Suns did have one player participating at All-Star weekend and that was Saben Lee, who played in the G-League Showcase.
The two-way player scored 19 points and dished 5 assists in the game.
Book Climbs the Ladder
Book now sits 5th on the Suns all-time scoring list, passing Dick Van Arsdale. Next up is Shawn Marion in 4th. Book will pass him in only a few games!
CP3 Steals 3rd
Paul's 4 steals against the Clippers vaulted him above Michael Jordan for 3rd on the NBA's all-time steals leader board. Former Sun Jason Kidd sits in 2nd, with Chris needing over 150 more to reach him.
