The NBA have released the schedule for the 2022-23 season, so here are some of the key features of the Suns' schedule.

Our 1st game of the season will be full of drama as we face the Dallas Mavericks. Unless you've been under a rock for a while, you'll know that they eliminated us from the Playoffs as the underdog team. I'm hoping for a vengeful blow-out win.

The team opens the season on a fairly friendly schedule, in terms of home/road games, with 7 of our 1st 10 games at home. The stretch includes a 6-game homestand - our longest of the season, but we will be facing some tough competition in that time, so homecourt advantage will be a huge help.

We'll see the Mavericks, Clippers, Warriors, Pelicans, Grizzlies and Portland 3 times, including a home back-to-back.

Speaking of back-to-backs, he team will have 12 of them this season.

4 at home.

5 on the road

3 are home/road

The toughest ones look to be:

Warriors - Nuggets 10-11 Jan (both on the road) Warriors - Bucks 13-14 March (Warriors on the road, Bucks at home) Nuggets - Lakers 6-7 Apr (Nuggets at home, Lakers on the road)

The Suns' longest road stretch will start on Christmas day and go through to 4th Jan. We will have 6 games over those 11 days, luckily only playing 1 back-to-back (Grizzlies & Wizards).

Tough Stretches:

October & November - On top of the aforementioned opening 10 games, we'll also face the 76ers, Heat, Jazz, Lakers and Bulls in those 2 months.

The Christmas in to New Year road trip is a tough trip as well, with all teams being in the Playoffs or have improved this coming season. The back-to-back won't be nice either, travelling from Memphis to Washington.

Straight after this there's no rest, as we face the Heat (home), Cavs (home), Warriors (road), Nuggets (road), Timberwolves (road), Grizzlies (road), Nets (home), Pacers (home) & Grizzles (home). Before January ends we still have to face the Mavs and Raptors.

This part is specifically for UK readers, so here is a list of UK friendly tip-off times (before 12am):

20 Nov - 8.30pm vs New York Knicks (likely to be on Sky Sports)
